Jum iehor ta’ intimidazzjoni

Dak li qed isir fil-Belt Valletta, organizzat b’mod sfaccat mill-UHM mhux ghir ezercizzju kontinwu ta’ ntimidazzjoni biex l-Awtoritajiet ikunu sfurzati jiehdu decizjoni li titfa lill-Belt Kapitali ta’ pajjizna lura u li titfarrak ir-riforma li qed issir wara snin shah ta’ konsultazzjoni u sforzi minn dawk kollha li jridu jghollu l-livell tal-Belt Kapitali ta’ pajjizna ghal post xieraq li jixirqilha bhala Belt ta’ wirt dinji.
Dak li qed isir fil-Belt Valletta, organizzat b’mod sfaccat mill-UHM mhux ghir ezercizzju kontinwu ta’ ntimidazzjoni biex l-Awtoritajiet ikunu sfurzati jiehdu decizjoni li titfa lill-Belt Kapitali ta’ pajjizna lura u li titfarrak ir-riforma li qed issir wara snin shah ta’ konsultazzjoni u sforzi minn dawk kollha li jridu jghollu l-livell tal-Belt Kapitali ta’ pajjizna ghal post xieraq li jixirqilha bhala Belt ta’ wirt dinji. L-imprendituri tal-Monti immexxijin minn-Union tal-Haddiema ihhajgekkjaw il-Pjazza ewlenija li ddahhlek fil-Belt Kapitali ta’ pajjizna u s-sidien tal-hwienet tal-Belt Valletta, x-xerrejja u dawk kollha li jidhlu biex jinqdew mill-Belt qed ikunu sfurzati taht il-harsa intimidatorja tas-sidien tal-Monti biex jiffirmaw petizzjoni li hadd ma jaf x’inhi. Ic-cittadin Malti illum ma jistax jidhol il-Belt Valletta minghajr ma jsib ruhu iffaccjat bl-iskumdita ikkawzata mill-UHM. Il-progett tal-Belt hu kontinwazzjoni ta’ dak kollu li qed isir biex il-Belt Valletta taghna toghla ghal livell li jixirqilha b’paragun ma bliet storici ohra ewropej.  Il-GRTU ghalhekk tappella l-ewwelnett lill-Awtoritajiet biex iqumu minn hemm u jiddefendu lic-cittadini minn din l-intimidazzjoni. Ic-cittadin ma ghandux ikun sfurzat li jrid jaghti ismu lill-pulizija biex il-pulizija tiddefendilu d-drtitt tieghu li jidhol il-Belt Valletta bla ebda hjiel ta’ intimidazzjoni. Hu l-obbligu tal-pulizija li tassigura access mija fil-mija hieles lil kull cittadin Malti. It-tieninett il-GRTU tappella lill-poplu Malti u b’mod partikolari lil dawk li minn dejjem irreziztew li pajjizna jitmexxa bi storbju u s-sfafar ta’ minn kapaci johrog in-nies fil-pjazez biex huma wkoll jitkellmu kontra dan  l-mod abbuziv kif tittmexxa diskussjoni pubblika. Li qed isir illum fil-Belt hu tgheddida serja lid-drittijiet civili tal-Maltin. Jidher car li l-ghan tal-organizzaturi tal-istorbju bit-tisfir, bit-daqq tat-tnabar u bl-ghajjat organizzat jum wara l-iehor biex jkollu mpatt akkumulattiv, hu li nitfaw lil pajjizna tletin sena lura.  U ghajb ghal min qed jaqa ghall dan il-metodu hekk mistmerr. U ghajb ukoll ghal dawk li ghax intimidati qed ibaxxu rashom ghal dan. Il-GRTU tappella lill-Kummissarju tal-Pulizija biex jizgura li d-drittijiet civili tal-Maltin ikunu mharsa sewwa u li din l-intimidazzjoni kontinwa ma twassalx ghat-terrorizmu u vjolenza. Il-GRTU tfakkar lill-gvern illi huwa gie elett fuq program ta’ ‘is-sewwa jirbah dejjem” u mhux “bl-storbju tirbah dejjem” . Il-GRTU li fis-sittin sena li ilha tezizti sofriet hafna intimidazzjonijiet theddied u zeblieh, mhux ser tbaxxi rasha qatt quddiem minn jahseb li f’pajjizna ghadu z-zmien li bis-sahha u bl-intimidazzjoni tista tirbah.

GRTU tifrah bl-approvazzjoni ta’ Malta bhala membru taz-Zona tal-Ewro

Il-Kunsill tal-GRTU f-isem il-membri tal-GRTU u f’isem l-kommunita kummercjali u imprenditorjali rapprezentata mill-GRTU tifrah lill-poplu Malti ghas-success li Malta rnexxielha takwista l-approvazzjoni ta’ Malta bhala membru taz-zona tal-Ewro. Dan hu certifikat importanti hafna ghall-Malta ghax juri li pajjizna ghalkemm ckejken, illum ghandu ekonomija b’sahhitha bizzejjed li tista tippartecipa fi blokk ekonomiku u finanzjarju hekk b’sahhtu u ewlieni bhal ma hija l-Euro Area.

Il-GRTU tawgura li dan is-success iservi bhala spinta gdida biex l-Maltin jifhmu li meta b’fehma wahda jahdmu ghal ghan komuni r-rizultat jigi dejjem.

GRTU requests Opposition to consult GRTU prior to conclusions effecting Valletta’s commercial centre

The GRTU Malta Chamber for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises is concerned at remarks the Hon Dr Alfred Sant Leader of the Opposition Labour Party is reported to have made at his visit to the Valletta Monti Hawkers in Freedom Square this morning.

The GRTU Malta Chamber for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises is concerned at remarks the Hon Dr Alfred Sant Leader of the Opposition Labour Party is reported to have made at his visit to the Valletta Monti Hawkers in Freedom Square this morning. During his visit the Leader of the Opposition is reported to have assured Monti Hawkers that a Labour Government would be willing to relocate the Monti to its former site in Merchants Street between Old Theatre Street and St John Street. He is also reported to have said that should the hawkers wish to, he would be prepared to relocate them to other areas in Valletta they would deem appropriate. GRTU has on several occasions on behalf of traders and retailers, stated clearly the reasons why the Monti should no longer set up in Merchants Street between Old Theatre Street and St John Street. GRTU also stated in an open letter yesterday addressed to the Hon Austin Gatt, Minister for Investment, Industry and Information Technology, the reasons why GRTU believes that it is wrong for government to re-site the open air Monti in an important part of Valletta’s commercial centre as is this important section of Merchant Street. GRTU cannot continue to tolerate the loss of business suffered by the commercial community that has invested, and is willing to invest further to sustain the Valletta commercial centre. GRTU on behalf of the commercial community of Valletta cannot but express publicly its regret that in spite of GRTU’s publicly stated strong opposition to the pretensions of the Monti Hawkers, the Leader of the Opposition appears to have ignored our position entirely and declared his support for the status quo without evaluating correctly what is the true interest of all investors in the area and the true interest of Valletta as Malta’s Capital City. This area is a fundamental and crucial part of the commercial core of our Capital City. GRTU has consistently participated in all consultation sessions organised by the Malta Labour Party in preparation for its policy documents and GRTU cannot understand why on this issue, so vital for many GRTU members, the Leader of Opposition preferred to ignore completely the stand of GRTU, Malta’s National representative of the Retailing Community.  GRTU augurs that the comments of the Honourable Dr Sant will not be taken as conclusive prior to consultation with GRTU. GRTU once again publicly states that the site identified for the outdoor market in the government’s 2005 white paper on Valletta is amply appropriate for this use and would benefit the hawkers themselves as much as the rest of the commercial community in Valletta.

The Business Community of Valletta represented by:

  • The Chamber of Small and Medium Size Enterprises (GRTU);
  • The Merchants Street Business Community Association; and
  • The Republic Street Business Community Association.

wishes to comment on the current controversy over the Monti.            The facts as we know them are as follows:

  1. For several years the presence of the Monti in Merchants Street between Old Theatre Street and St John Street has been unsightly and generally unsuitable for the business in Valletta. The Monti has reduced accessibility to outlets in that area and has strongly reduced the visibility of an important component of Valletta’s (and Malta’s) architectural and urban heritage.

  1. For several years we have argued with the authorities for the relocation of the Monti.

  1. During 2005, the government, represented by the Ministry for Investment, Industry and Information Technology, formally asked for our views on the possible relocation of the Monti. The government proposed relocation to another portion of Merchants Street between Old Theatre Street and Archbishop Street. All of our organisations expressed strong support for these proposals. We continue to support this policy fully.

  1. The relocation of the Monti is happening in the context of a full strategy for Valletta which followed a two-year process of thorough consultation with us and with our members. We support the changes happening in Valletta because we participated fully in their preparation and were constantly invited by its planners within the government to give our views.

Furthermore we would like to make the following additional remarks:

  1. We are especially concerned at the damage done not only to their own activity but also to the entire commercial landscape of Valletta by the aggressive protests of the Monti hawkers. We have witnessed acts of intimidation and undue pressure by people acting on their behalf especially in the process of collecting signatures for a petition purportedly in support of their protest.

  1. It is our view that there is space for Monti hawkers in Valletta. The space identified by the government is amply adequate and the current spate of protest is spiteful, pointless and damaging to the Monti hawkers themselves and the rest of our city.

  1. Street protests, strikes and public manifestations of the sort indulged in during the last few days are not the way of making one’s voice heard in our modern democracy. We are especially concerned with the decision of the Leader of the Opposition to appear to encourage by his presence these sort of public manifestations that attempt to compensate for lack of argument and reason with noise and threats. This does not augur well for the Leader of the Opposition’s views on the way our democracy should function in our time.

  1. Also with reference to the Leader of the Opposition’s remarks we feel we must insist that should the Malta Labour Party be considering changes to the Valletta strategy with which we feel we form part and to which we have secured the government’s commitment, it should undertake at least as thorough and as open a consultation process as the government has accorded us during the past three years.

Finally we announce a joint Extraordinary General Meeting of all our organisations tomorrow at 9.00am in the offices of the GRTU in Republic Street, Valletta where we will be advising our members of actions we will be taking to protect their interests against the hostile aggression they have been facing during the past few days.

GRTU qed tippublika l-ittra li baghtet lil Onor Austin Gatt dwar il-bejjiegha tal-monti tal-Belt

Il-Kamra tan-Negozji z-Zghar u Medji – il-GRTU – tesprimi t-thassib serju taghha ghall-fatt li l-gvern mhux qed jinvolviha fit-tahdidiet mal-bejjiegha tal-Monti tal-Belt Valletta

Ministru, Il-Kamra tan-Negozji ż-Å»għar u Medji – il-GRTU – tesprimi t-tħassib serju tagħha għall-fatt li l-gvern mhux qed jinvolviha fit-taħdidiet mal-bejjiegħa tal-Monti tal-Belt Valletta. Hu d-dmir tagħna għalhekk li f’isem il-membri tagħna nikkostataw il-fatti li Ä¡ejjin: Il-ħwienet fi Triq il-Merkanti bejn Triq San Ä wann u Triq it-Teatru l-Antik ilhom is-snin twal ibatu telf ta’ bejgħ minħabba l-preżenza tal-Monti kull nhar ta’ xogħol f’dan is-sit. Il-bankarelli huma bil-bosta akbar mil-limiti stabbiliti fil-liÄ¡i u jagħmlu l-aÄ‹Ä‹ess għal min irid jixtri mill-ħwienet tal-membri tagħna diffiÄ‹li. Minħabba l-problema serja t’aÄ‹Ä‹essibilità, ħafna nies li jiÄ¡u jixtru mill-Belt kienu jaqbżu għal kollox il-ħwienet fi Triq il-Merkanti minħabba l-preżenza tal-Monti. Il-preżenza tal-Monti, id-dehra tal-bankarelli tagħhom, l-istil tal-bejgħ u l-prodotti li jinbiegħu kienu jwaqqgħu d-dehra ta’ Triq il-Merkanti u kienu jagħtu l-impressjoni ta’ medjokrità u kwalità baxxa ħafna. Dan kien iħassar l-investiment qawwi li l-membri tagħna għamlu fil-ħwienet tagħhom matul is-snin biex joffru lix-xerrejja mill-Belt prodott ta’ kwalità għolja u esperjenza sabiħa ta’ xiri. Il-Monti fid-dehra li kellu s’issa u fil-prodotti li kien ibiegħ kien ukoll ostili għax-xerrejja turisti, l-aktar dawk li jiÄ¡u mill-cruise liners. Fil-fatt fil-ħin wara nofsinhar li l-aktar ikun hawn passiÄ¡Ä¡ieri tal-cruise liners, il-Monti jkun qed iżarma jew ikun għadu kemm ħalla warajh iż-żibel tal-Ä¡urnata u dan jagħmel Triq il-Merkanti u l-ħwienet tagħha post li t-turisti bil-fors jevitaw. Hu għalhekk li kif għamilna fl-istadji kollha tal-konsultazzjoni dwar l-istrateÄ¡ija għall-aÄ‹Ä‹ess fil-Belt u kif għamilna għal snin sħaħ qabel beda dan il-proÄ‹ess, aħna ntennu l-insistenza tagħna li l-Monti ma jibqax jarma fis-sit li fih kien jarma qabel. Dan minbarra li l-investiment li ser jagħmel il-Gvern f’pavimentar Ä¡did li jixbaħ il-pavimentar fi Triq ir-Repubblika ma jista jitgawda minn ħadd jekk xorta t-triq ma tibqax aÄ‹Ä‹essibbli minħabba l-Monti. Minbarra l-investiment tal-Gvern, f’isem il-membri tiegħi, infakkrek fl-impenn ta’ ħafna mill-ħwienet ta’ Triq il-Merkanti li jinvestu aktar biex din il-parti tal-Belt tkun sabiħa u attraenti fil-prodott kummerÄ‹jali u turistiku Malti mqar daqs Triq ir-Repubblika. Huma l-kwalità tal-prodotti u tal-vetrini li jikkumplimentaw il-kwalità tal-paviment u r-restrizzjonijiet fuq it-traffiku. Dan ma jfissirx li din il-Kamra hi b’xi mod kontra li jkun hemm suq miftuħ fil-Belt Valletta. Anzi aħna tal-fehma li s-sit fi Triq il-Merkanti bejn Triq it-Teatru l-Antik u Triq l-ArÄ‹isqof ser jestendi l-Ä¡eografija kummerÄ‹jali tal-Belt Valletta u se jaqbel lill-bejjiegħa tal-Monti daqs kemm jaqbel lill-bejjiegħa mill-ħwienet ta’ Triq il-Merkanti. Hu għalhekk li aħna tal-fehma li l-bejjiegħa tal-Monti huma żbaljati fl-impressjoni tagħhom li r-rilokazzjoni għandha tfisser xi telf mill-attività kummerÄ‹jali tagħhom. Il-fehma tagħna anzi hi li din hi opportunità t’espansjoni fi prodotti li jinteressaw aktar u profil usa ta’ xerrejja. Monti organizzat tajjeb, b’bankarelli li jirriflettu l-eleganza tal-Belt Valletta u prodotti li jixirqu l-aspetattivi tax-xerrejja Maltin u turisti għandu Ä‹ans jirnexxi u jgawdi hu wkoll mill-investiment tal-Gvern u tal-membri tagħna f’titjib Ä¡enerali fil-qalba tal-Belt Valletta.

Aħna tal-fehma li min qed jirrapreżenta lill-bejjiegħa tal-Monti qed jiżgwidahom b’ideat żbaljati ta’ kif jaħdem il-kummerÄ‹. Minflok sens t’impriża, id-diskors li qed nisimgħu minn min qed jirrapreżenta lill-Monti hu dominat minn retorika li ftit tagħmel sens f’kuntest ta’ relazzjonijiet industrjali tradizzjonali u ma tagħmel xejn sens f’kuntest imprenditorjali.
 Hu għal dan li aħna preokkupati li l-Gvern, fit-taħdidiet ma’ min qed jirrapreżenta lil tal-Monti, qed issa jitlef is-sens oriÄ¡inali li għalih kien iddeÄ‹ieda li jÄ‹aqlaq il-Monti ‘l isfel fi Triq il-Merkanti stess. Din il-Kamra ma tistax tittollera li tkun eskluża mit-taħdidiet li għaddejjin. Aħna tal-fehma li l-preżenza tagħna se tiffaÄ‹ilita l-interessi tal-bejjiegħa tal-Monti stess. Il-kommunità kummerÄ‹jali tal-Belt Valletta għandha interess wieħed u fil-fehma tagħna il-Ä¡id tal-bejjiegħa tal-Monti hu l-Ä¡id tagħna u l-Ä¡id tagħna u l-Ä¡id tal-bejjiegħa tal-Monti.

Hi sfortuna li min jidher li għandu interessi oħra qed jitma’ lill-bejjiegħa tal-Monti ideat żbaljati li qed jagħmlu ħafna ħsara lill-attività kummerÄ‹jali tagħhom stess.
 Il-parir tagħna lill-Gvern hu Ä‹ar: li flok jifred lill-elementi differenti tas-settur kummerÄ‹jali, jgħaqqadhom għall-Ä¡id tagħhom ilkoll u tal-Belt Valletta b’mod Ä¡enerali.  Vince FarrugiaDirettur Generali

Il-Gvern ghandu jhajjar aktar nies jidhlu l-Belt Valletta

Issa li l-isforzi kollha tal-GRTU fuq numru ta' snin taw ir-rizultat taghhom u l-Gvern nehha l-V Licence biex wiehed ikun jista' jidhol il-Belt Valletta bil-karozza bla hlas zejjed, il-Gvern m'ghandux joqghod lura milli jaghmel kull sforz biex ihajjar nies li qatt ma kellhom il-V licence jidhlu jgawdu l-facilitajiet kollha li toffri l-Belt Valletta.

Issa li l-isforzi kollha tal-GRTU fuq numru ta’ snin taw ir-riżultat tagħhom u l-Gvern neħħa ‘l-‘V’ Licence biex wieħed ikun jista’ jidħol il-Belt bil-karozza bla hlas zejjed, il-Gvern m’għandux joqgħod lura milli jagħmel kull sforz biex iħajjar nies li qatt ma kellhom il-‘V’ Licence jidħlu jgawdu l-faÄ‹ilitajiet kollha li toffri l-Belt Valletta. Dan il-messaÄ¡Ä¡ ngħata mill-GRTU, il-Kamra tan-Negozji Å»għar u Medji  f’laqgħa li kellha dal-għodu mal-Ministru għall-Iżvilupp Urban u Toroq Jesmond Mugliett. F’din il-laqgħa l-GRTU ppreżentat l-analiżi tagħha ta’ l-ewwel għaxart ijiem tas-CVA fil-Belt Valletta u ppreżentat sensiela ta’ rakkomandazzjonijiet lill-Gvern biex din is-sistema tagħti lill-Belt l-oÄ¡Ä¡ettivi kollha tagħha u sservi bħala spinta Ä¡dida lill-kummerÄ‹ fil-Belt Valletta. Id-Direttur Ä enerali tal-GRTU Vince Farrugia spjega li aktar nies li ilhom snin twal ma jidħlu l-Belt għandhom jingħataw informazzjoni dwar kemm hu faÄ‹li li tipparkja l-Belt. Hu importanti ħafna li dawk kollha li dejjem sabuha bi tqila biex jidħlu l-Belt issa jkunu jafu li llum hu faÄ‹li ħafna li tidħol il-Belt u tipparkja b’kumdità. Il-GRTU insistiet ukoll li l-Gvern flimkien mal-kommunità kummerÄ‹jali jfasslu programm t’attivitajiet li jistgħu jsiru fil-Belt u li issa jistgħu jiÄ¡bdu lejhom numru akbar ta’ nies minħabba li d-dħul fil-Belt Valletta illum hu eħfef. Is-Sur Farrugia wkoll appella lill-Gvern biex ikattar bil-kbir l-informazzjoni li qed tingħata lill-pubbliku dwar l-aspetti pożittivi tas-sistema l-Ä¡dida biex jikkumbatti b’mod effettiv il-kampanja qarrieqa li qed issir b’intenzjoni Ä‹ara li tbeżża’ n-nies milli jidħlu l-Belt. Din hi kampanja li qed tagħmel ħsara kbira lis-sidien tan-negozji tal-Belt u għalhekk il-GRTU qablet mal-Gvern li b’effett immedjat issir kampanja pubbliÄ‹itarja biex il-pubbliku japprezza sewwa kemm hu aktar faÄ‹li llum li tidħol il-Belt u tinqeda’ bis-servizzi offruti. Is-Sur Farrugia qal li l-attenzjoni tal-Gvern issa għandha tkun li jindirizza lill-pubbliku Malti u jħajjru jgawdi lill-Belt kapitali tagħna bil-pjazez u t-toroq tagħha, u bil-ħwienet u l-postijiet tad-divertiment tagħha. Il-GRTU talbet ukoll li tiddaħħal skema li biha ħwienet fil-Belt ikunu jistgħu joffru lill-klienti tagħhom parkeÄ¡Ä¡ b’xejn għal meta jixtru mingħandhom. Il-GRTU talbet ukoll li tiÄ¡i semplifikata l-proÄ‹edura għal reÄ¡istrazzjoni ta’ garaxxijiet fil-Belt biex ma jiddaħħlux proÄ‹eduri aktar kumplessi milli hemm bżonn. Barra minhekk il-GRTU insistiet li jittieħdu miżuri biex jiÄ¡i faÄ‹ilitat aktar l-aÄ‹Ä‹ess għal min ikun qed iwassal merÄ‹a lill-ħwienet u l-istabbilimenti tal-Belt. Il-Ministru Jesmond Mugliett assigura lid-delegazzjoni tal-GRTU li l-Gvern ser jevalwa dawn ir-rakkomandazzjonijiet tagħha. Il-GRTU waqqfet task force biex issegwi kuljum kif tiżviluppa s-sistema għall-aÄ‹Ä‹ess fil-Belt biex tassigura minn jum għall-ieħor l-aħjar interess tas-settur kummerjÄ‹ali. Is-Sur Farrugia fuq kollox fakkar lill-Gvern li hu fl-interess ta’ kulħadd li din ir-riforma twassal għall-espansjoni tas-settur kummerÄ‹jali. Il-Gvern għandu d-dmir li jagħmel sforz kostanti li jisma’ l-GRTU li hi r-rappreżentant aħħari ta’ l-interess veru tas-settur tan-negozju.

Il-Kwistjoni tal-Monti

1.      Il-GRTU taqbel li post il-monti fil-Belt u mhux barra l-Belt

2.      Post il-monti hu l’isfel mic-Centru Kummercjali biex filwaqt li ma jaghmilx hsara lil hwienet igawdu kemm tal-hwienet kif ukoll tal-monti mill-firxa ikbar taz-Zona Kummercjali

3.      Is-sit li gie propost mill-awtoritajiet hdejn is-suq l-antik tal-Belt, wara l-Palazz u z-zona tal-madwar  hu sit tajjeb hafna aktar u aktar wara li jkun pavimentat u msebbah kif ghandu jkun

4.      Il-monti ma jistax imur lura fil-parti ta’ Triq il-Merkanti fejn kien qabel ghaliex inkella jintilef l-iskop kollu li fi Triq il-Merkanti jintefqu flejjes kbar fiha biex tkun upgraded, issir pedonali u jinholqu investimenti godda li jigbdu lejhom in-nies il-jum kollu

5.      Meta Triq il-Merkanti ssir pedonali u aktar attraenti, din tibda tigbed numru hafna akbar ta’ nies u dan ikun ta’ vantagg kemm ghas-sidien tal-hwienet kif ukoll ghal tal-monti meta dawn ikunu f’post irrangat sewwa u aktar u aktar jekk huma stess jaghmlu sforz kbir biex jghollu l-livell mizeru u xejn attraenti tal-istall li sal lum huma dejjem ipprezentaw fi Triq il-Merkanti. L-upgrading li jrid isir ghandu jaghmlu kulhadd kemm tal-hwienet u kif ukoll tal-monti ghax ma jkun jiswa xejn li tkun giet upgraded iz-zona u s-servizzi u l-facilitajiet kollha ma jaghmlux ukoll qabza ta’ kwalita fil-prezentazzjoni u fis-servizz

6.      Il-GRTU issostni li tal-monti qed jaghmlu hafna storbju zejjed ghax se jiccaqalqu l-isfel meta fil-fatt kif ix-xoghol ikun lest ser jibqghu fl-istess triq, ghalkemm aktar l’isfel imma f’zona aktar attraenti u fi triq li ser tikber ghal kollox u posittivament, il-potenzjal kummercjali taghha.

7.      Il-GRTU tqies li d-decizjoni li tal-monti jitpoggew fid-Ditch il-Furjana, anke ghal perjodu temporanju, mhiex l-ahjar decizjoni.

8.      Il-GRTU taqbel li anke temporanjament tal-monti jistghu jithallew joperaw mill-parti tat-Triq il-Merkanti l’isfel mill-Palazz. Hekk kif jitlesta x-xoghol jitilghu l’fuq fil-pjazza ta’ wara l-Palazz. Din hi soluzzjoni li ma tgerrix lix-xerrejja tradizzjonali tal-monti u ma taghmilx hsara lic-Centru Kummercjali.

Il-GRTU qed toffri s-servizzi taghha lil awtoritajiet u lil bejjiegha tal-monti biex b’diskussjoni serja madwar il-mejda tinstab soluzzjoni prattika.
