
Online Information Session – Changes to the Employment of Third-Country Nationals
Following the recent Labour Migration Policy, on the changes when coming to employ third country nationals and the single work permit application process, we are pleased to invite you to an information session on Malta’s Labour Migration Policy, organised by the SME Chamber in collaboration with the Ministry for Home Affairs, Security, and Employment. This session aims to provide clarity on recent policy changes and their implications for your business operations.
The main changes being proposed include (amongst others):
• Updates to the renewal period and changes to the fees
• The establishment of a high-risk country list for employment applications
• Minimum requirements for employing third-country nationals (TCNs), such as employing a specific number of Maltese/EU nationals prior
• Integration courses for TCNs prior to their arrival in Malta.
